Nov 13, 2017 English casino owner Rob Yong became the accidental middleman in a Las Vegas dispute between Australian poker pro Matt Kirk and Czech casino owner Leon Tsoukernik. (Image: Paul Tonge / The Sun). Back in May, Czech casino owner Leon Tsoukernik lost $3 million to Australian poker pro Matt Kirk at the Aria casino in Las Vegas. Tsoukernik then apparently paid Kirk only $1 million of the money. Leon got wasted gambled millions on loan from Matt Kirk probably because Kirk knew the casino won't give him the loan being he was drunk (Leon won millions in roulette so I don't see how the casino won't loan him 2 million unless he was drunk). Leon was willing to settle for less, Kirk said I want it all. Poker Hand of the Week Setup We have a very interesting hand from the cash game of all cash games at GG Network. Australian High stakes legend Matt “Aussie Matt” Kirk joins the NL$1000/$2,000 game and creates a lot of action right from the start with a very gutsy check-raise river bluff vs.

Aussie Matt Kirk Bought Into $250k Cash Game Because He Was Bored

Back in May, Czech casino owner Leon Tsoukernik lost $3 million to Australian poker pro Matt Kirk at the Aria casino in Las Vegas. Tsoukernik then apparently paid Kirk only $1 million of the money he lost during the poker session, with the two players now embroiled in a high-profile lawsuit. According to Tsoukernik, both Kirk and the Aria were responsible for his losses due to neglect, manipulation, and ploughing him with too much alcohol to play or read his cards properly.
Needless to say, the poker community has been weighing in with their own take on the issue, with some of the more interesting reactions noted below:

“Casino Owner Says He Was Tired, Drunk When He Lost $3M In Controversial Poker Game”
Matthew Parvis
“This is what I was hearing right after the game happened. I overheard one player say (paraphrased) “if it was any other poker room in the world and not Ivey’s Room the dealer would have stopped the game.”
Doyle Brunson
“This is so stupid. Anybody that knows Matt Kirk knows he would bet his last dollar when he gets in heat. U need a witness Matt, call me.
Kevin Smith
“I agree Dolly. Even though I don’t know him personally, when you borrow money from someone… you pay them back. Especially when you are a multi-millionaire.”
Phil Galfond
“I wasn’t there but can almost guarantee all those claims are false. No chance Aria floor is conspiring with Matt, bringing Leon drinks he didn’t order, or preventing people from helping him.”
Bill Chen
“Look I understand, he was drunk and made some bad decisions. Even a math guy like me sympathizes. So long as the same consideration is given when we visit his place right?”
Michael McCray
“Shit I would go get hammered and play at his place then when I lose everything sue him for it back plus some. Bam! Profit based on his own precedence.”
Joe McKeehen Coaching Reactions
Meanwhile, Joe McKeehen may have taken down the 2015 WSOP Main Event for $7,683,346, but it seems that he has not won the affection of many in the poker community who seem to view him of being too aloof. After Chip Leader Coaching subsequently announced it was offering poker coaching lessons with McKeehen, here are some of the unflattering tweets that were posted thereafter:
Chip Leader Coaching
“Welcome new #CLCcoach Joe McKeehen! He has EIGHTEEN TITLES including this one (??) and can teach you about closing on http://chipleadercoaching.com”

“After your tweet about the stats, I thought “those sound like joe McKeehen’s stats”… I then thought “nah no way joe would ever do a coaching thing where he has to talk to people”
Christopher Larrea
“He’s gonna have to unblock alotta people for them to get coached.”
